The hemp company launched its new hemp running shoes through a Kickstarter campaign on the 20th of February where backers have the exclusive opportunity to purchase a pair for up to 50% off.

The Runner is the world's 1st hemp running shoe, and it's our most technically advanced product yet. It's geared towards all-day comfort and performance, and once you have them on your feet you won't believe how light they are.

With a modern design look, the runner is the most comfortable shoe you will try in a while.

Every detail was carefully thought out, including the wide fit for your toes, minimalist shoelaces with reflective yarn, and a front pocket where you can put the shoelaces so they stop bouncing around.

But there's more to it than just aesthetics, the upper is made of a knitted hemp elastic sock, perfectly adjustable to every foot, wide or narrow, with and without socks.

These new running kicks complement 8000Kicks' existing line of casual hemp shoes and accessories, available in four stylish colors: full black, black & white, pink and white.

Though hemp is often associated with marijuana, these runners are not intended for "smoking". Hemp is considered the "sober cousin" of marijuana and it contains minimal psychoactive components, making it legal worldwide.
