Just Illuminate: The Footnanny

Welcome to Just Illuminate, where we share our editorial platform, social following and marketing assets with small businesses who deserve the spotlight - and our continued support - more than ever. Each week, we highlight a new fashion or beauty brand with this purpose in mind.

Your feet deserve as much attention as your hair, makeup and nails, but such attention is, at times, not matched. During the warmer months, keeping your feet soft and supple is key. There are so many products out there that are geared toward helping to provide you with the most effective products for your foot care needs at home. But the one product that just illuminates with us is Footnanny because of its aromatic blended creams that truly pamper your feet long after the pedicure ends.

No one knows the true benefits of good foot care and treatment better than Gloria L. Williams, the founder and CEO of Footnanny. At her Beverly Hills private foot spa, she aligns her belief that feet deserve TLC with the infusion of her premium products, delivering the best treatment that has been notably voted the Best Pedicure in Hollywood. Her entire business model is rooted in her southern-rooted family tree that she learned from her mother that everyone deserves a massage full of TLC and shares this southern comfort with each of her lucky clientele.

Did we mention that Oprah Winfrey is one such lucky client? Oh, yeah! Gloria has tended to her toes for quite some time. Most recently, Gloria and Oprah were finally reunited after the long pandemic pause of COVID-19 that the superstar took to her own Instagram account to express her delight in Gloria’s amazing massage skills and her newest product line, the Olive Oil Collection. Keep reading to learn more about how The Footnanny came to be and what is in store for the future.

Tell us a little about yourself and your business?

Gloria L. Williams: The Founder and CEO of Footnanny, also the personal pedicurist to Oprah Winfrey. Footnanny products have been an Oprah favorite for 7 years in a row.

How has COVID-19 affected your business?

GLW: Covid 19 has caused me to add two more warehouses to my company in order for the team to maintain extreme social distance. It also gave me more space to stock new PPE and sanitation supplies. My business kept going throughout COVID because of my pivot to PPE.

How have your priorities shifted over the last year?

GLW: Health is the number one priority and the business is second.

What inspired you to start The Footnanny brand collection?

GLW: My grandmother taught my mother how to blend and provide the old fashioned rubdown on the lower extremities of the body. That gift was passed down to me and now I share with the world.

What has been (or continues to be) your proudest moment as a business owner?

GLW: My proudest moments are filling orders and tossing in surprise freebies for Footnanny customers. We CARE and want people to be as happy as possible with their unboxing experience.

What is one key self-care tip would you like to suggest to our readers?

GLW: Take at least an hour every week to just soak your feet or your entire body. This is a natural way to relax your body and soothe your inner soul.

In what ways do you want to continue growing your business?

GLW: Footnanny is beginning to scale the business with opening multiple Footnanny Foot Spas around southern and northern California. It’s time to treat your feet with relaxation.
